Château Belle-Vue is now openly considered as one of Medoc’s best Crus Bourgeois and is often ranked at the same level as certain Crus Classés. Its deep gravel soil confers to it a subtle balance between finesse and strength. It's 15 hectares of vineyards have an average age of 39 years old. A blend of 48% Cabernet sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Petit verdot, 1% Cabernet franc, and 1% Carménère - the first time they have added Cabernet franc and Carmenere to their blend. The winery is gravity fed, so the wine is never pumped and is aged in 30% in new barrels for 14 months.
