Domaine Jerome et Gaelle Meunier Puligny Montrachet, Burgundy, France
A very attractive wine with notes of white flower (acacia) and well-integrated acidity. Long and fine in the mouth. A good accompaniment to white meats in a sauce and scallops.
A lovely wine to drink young! It is long and fine in the mouth and thanks to
it’s refreshing acidity it goes really well with fish and seafood. Can be kept for
5 years after bottling.
Jérôme and Gaëlle both worked in the wine world before starting their own
vineyard, Jérôme as ‘Régisseur’ of a domaine in the Côte de Beaune and
Gaëlle was in charge of a wine laboratory. They have bought various parcels
of land in and around Mercurey over the years and in 2007 bottled their first
vintage under their own label. In 2011 after another winemaker retired they
took over 4h of vines in Puligny-Montrachet to complete their estate.
