Domaine Jouan Frère et Soeur was created by Regi Jouan but is now run by his daughter and son-in-law Maria and David Girard who also own the Domaine de Champarlan in Menetou-Salon. Domaine Jouan is a family estate with 5ha of vines of which 4 are Sancerre and 1 is Menetou-Salon. The Sancerre comes from Silex soils, white and stony and the Menetou comes only from white soils.
