Tenuta del Melo, Barbera DOC

Tenuta del Melo can be found in the heart of Gavi's hills. It is owned by the Rossi Cairo family who have promoted sustainable agriculture in the region for many years. Today Tenuta del Melo is certified Biodynamic by Demeter. The estate itself covers 20 hectares planted with both Cortese and Barbera vines planted on marl soils.

This wine is a wonderful example of a naturally oriented production of the prestigious grape. Filled with delicate floral aromas backed up with intense notes of brambly berries - even richer notes of saffron and baking spices. The mouthfeel is harmonious with that ever tantalising Piedmont acidity to round off the finish.
