The word 'Szamorodni' refers to the sugar content of harvested grapes in the Tokaji region in Hungary. While these grapes are normally used to produce sweet wines, Breitenbach in this case have decided to allow the must to develop a flor or veil of yeast in the barrel while it ages.
This produces a wine that is bone dry, and shares similar characteristics to Spanish Fino Sherry and Vin Jaune from the Savoie in France. Enjoy with strong cheeses.
