These grapes come from our Roussanne and Grenache gris vines. We harvested by hand and sorted the best bunches on the stumps located in the tips (end of short rows) for this micro cuvee. We have a wine with golden reflections with a limpid and brilliant color. The 2019 vintage at Domaine Calmel et Joseph was cool and rainy at the end of winter followed by a hot summer. The late pruning allowed the Roussanne to take its time to ripen, allowing the development of aromas of white peach, apricot and white flowers. The aging in barrels appears on the finish with notes of nuts and spices. The Grenache gris makes the aroma more complex with citrus notes but above all reveals a beautiful minerality on the palate, floral aromas, an exotic fruit side mixed with notes of sweet almond. It is a white wine of very good quality, racy, generous as only our region can offer. It is high time to come and discover the great Languedoc white wines.

"I can smell toasted cashews and hazelnuts, toasted croissant. Surprisingly intense, wild, yet fiercely racy and elegant. Vanilla-scented blossoms, cistus, filigree yet focused. I can taste the cold, bitter green-resin sweetness of crushed bay leaf and the breath of wild mint. Yuzu. Dense, tense, but not concentrated. Pin-point balance. This really is superb." Score: 17/20.
