In 2004, Jean-Pierre Proharam created the Domaine Haugarot, and started his first 100% Petit Manseng vinification: the André Jean cuvée. At Domaine Haugarot, all the work, from the vine to the wine, is carried out according to the biodynamic lunar calendar. Beyond fashions, Jean-Pierre Proharam applies his own winemaking philosophy, taking into account the evolution of processes and respect for the environment. As an independent winegrower, Jean-Pierre Proharam manages the vines, carries out the vinification and the marketing of the wine, for complete control of the final product.
The resulting wine shows a fine nose mixing exotic and mineral notes and a fresh and greedy mouth with a round final touch of exotic fruits. Served well chilled, we find that it pairs very well with shellfish or it can work wonders as an aperitif.
80% Gross Manseng, 20% Petit Manseng.
