Domaine Dubriel Fontaine, Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge

Village plots from the bottom of the hill of Pernand, as well as around a third from the 1er Cru les Fichots. Blend of tank and barrel, roughly 15% new oak.

The 2019 is dark for this cuvee, with a nose of essence of raspberry. Relatively full bodied, with just a touch of Christmas cake spice. Good acidity, tannins are fine and ripe, lots of fruit though, and the balance is there, with Pernand’s minerality showing on the finish.
